Ulunthu kanchi is very good recipe for our health. My mom used to make this recipe once or twice a month. She always prepares it on sunday morning. I like to have a spicy sidedish with this kanchi. My mom makes vengaya milagai as a side dish which i love the most. Any pickle or thogaiyal would also be a perfect side dish for this kanchi.
Today i am making this kanchi using black gram(urad dal) without skin. But you can also make this kanchi with black gram(with skin) which is more healthier.
